The Col du Tourmalet. 2,115 metres high, the highest road pass in the French Pyrenees, and one of the most feared and legendary summits in world cycling. From the first slopes out of Luz-Saint-Sauveur or up the Sainte-Marie-de-Campan side, every pedal stroke on its slopes averaging over 7% is part of a long story of suffering and glory. From route to trophy

From your effort on the road to the object you’ll put on your desk or give to someone close, production follows three simple, precise steps.

• The route of the climb is taken from GPX and mapping data true to the real terrain of the Tourmalet.
• The topographic map is 3D-printed: every contour line, every valley, every rocky spur is rendered in relief. The route of the climb is raised to stand out clearly from the massif.
• The oak base is laser-engraved with the name of the pass, the distance, the elevation gain and the average gradient. Everything is assembled, checked and shipped from our Bourg-d’Oisans workshop, at the foot of Alpe d’Huez.

The pass in 3D relief

The Col du Tourmalet tops out at 2,115 metres in the Hautes-Pyrénées, between the Campan and Luz-Saint-Sauveur valleys. On the east side, from Sainte-Marie-de-Campan, the climb stretches over about 17 kilometres with 1,270 metres of climbing at an average of 7.4%. On the west side, from Luz-Saint-Sauveur, it covers about 19 kilometres with 1,404 metres of climbing at an average of 7.4%. Rated hors catégorie in the Tour de France, the Tourmalet is the ultimate benchmark for every cyclist and hiker in the Pyrenees.

Climbing the Tourmalet means joining a list that includes the greatest names in cycling. It’s also a personal victory, a moment you never forget. This 3D map doesn’t just show a pass on a map: it shows your legs on those slopes, your breath in the Pyrenean air and the view from the top. It’s the trophy of your pass, to keep at home or to give to someone who deserves to be reminded of what they achieved.

Several sides to choose from

The Tourmalet is climbed from two iconic sides, both available for this trophy.

• From Luz-Saint-Sauveur, via the Voie Laurent Fignon: the longer west side, following the road made famous by historic editions of the Tour de France.
• From Sainte-Marie-de-Campan: the east side, starting from this Hautes-Pyrénées village, with its long straights and final hairpins below the summit.

Choose the side you climbed, or give both to someone who rode them back to back.
