At 2,642 metres, the Col du Galibier is one of the giants of the Alps. Climbed from Valloire, Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne, Briançon or the Col du Lautaret, it is one of the most feared and most coveted climbs in cycling and hiking. Rated hors catégorie in the Tour de France, it deserves a trophy to match.

From route to trophy

Every 3D relief map of the Galibier is made in three steps in our Bourg-d’Oisans workshop, at the foot of Alpe d’Huez.

• Your GPX track, or the side of your choice, is the basis for modelling the relief.
• The topography of the pass is 3D-printed: every contour line, every flat section, every steep stretch stands out faithfully on the map.
• The trophy is finished with a laser-engraved oak base showing the name of the pass, the distance, the elevation gain and the average gradient of the climb.

The Col du Galibier in 3D relief

The Galibier rises to 2,642 metres in the Cerces massif, on the border between the Hautes-Alpes and Savoie. Rated hors catégorie, it demands kilometres of sustained effort on each of its sides, with sections averaging over 10%. The map faithfully reproduces this relief: the hairpins climbing up from the Maurienne valley, the bare slopes above Valloire, the ridge that divides the two Alpine sides. Everything you felt in your legs is there, set in the material.
