From the course to the trophy

Each 3D map of the Col de l'Iseran pass is produced in three stages from real topographic data of the area.

• The GPX track of the ascent is integrated with the relief data to position the route precisely on the terrain.
• The topography of the pass is 3D-printed with raised, faithful relief: every contour line, every steep slope, every flat section is visible.
• The oak base is laser-engraved with the climb's data – distance, elevation gain, average gradient, and pass name – to turn the map into a truly personal trophy.

The Col de l'Iseran in 3D relief

The Iseran, Europe’s highest road pass, is classified as ‘hors catégorie’ in the Tour de France. From Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the climb covers approximately 47 kilometres with an elevation gain of around 2,100 metres, at an average gradient of approximately 4.5 %. From Val-d’Isère, the climb is shorter but significantly more demanding, covering around 16 kilometres with an elevation gain of 1,000 metres and an average gradient of around 7 %. From Lanslebourg in Maurienne, the climb is around 33 kilometres long with an elevation gain of nearly 1,600 metres. The pass is part of the Vanoise National Park, at the junction of the Arc and Isère valleys.

These features are accurately represented on the relief map: the terrain is easily understood at a glance, and the raised tracing of the ascent guides the eye to the summit.

Several slopes to choose from

The 3D map of the Col de l'Iseran pass is available with the routes of three distinct climbs.

• From Bourg-Saint-Maurice: the northern slope via the Tarentaise valley, long and gradual, with the Gorges de l'Isère and the Val d'Isère as stages.
• From Val-d'Isère: the most iconic, short, steep slope, the one the Tour de France riders tackle under the cameras.
• From Lanslebourg: the Maurienne side, less popular but just as challenging, with the ascent of the upper Arc valley.

The 3D map of the Iseran Pass is available in three formats and can be personalised to your preferences.
