Description

At 2,304 metres, the Col de la Loze is one of the toughest passes in the Northern Alps. Perched between Courchevel and Méribel, in the heart of the Vanoise massif, it burst onto the international cycling scene in the 2020 Tour de France, revealing gradients that regularly exceed 20%. Whether you climbed it from the valley villages or linked it from the ski resorts, this climb deserves to be celebrated with more than a phone photo.

From route to trophy

Every 3D Mountain trophy follows the same path, from the digital route to the object on your desk.

  • The relief of the pass is taken from precise topographic data, then modelled to faithfully reproduce every hairpin, every flat section, every steep wall.
  • The map is 3D-printed in our workshop in Bourg-d’Oisans, at the foot of the greatest climbs in the Alps. The route of the climb is raised on the relief and clearly visible.
  • The oak base is laser-engraved with the name of the pass, the distance, the elevation gain and the average gradient. A complete object, with nothing to add.

The Col de la Loze in 3D relief

Topping out at 2,304 m, the Col de la Loze links the Tarentaise to the heart of the Three Valleys ski area. The road, built specifically for cyclists and pedestrians, leaves no room for ease: sections of over 24% punctuate a climb that few passes in Europe can match for sheer difficulty. Rated hors catégorie on its Tour de France debut, it instantly entered the legend of high-mountain cycling. On foot or running, the routes to its summit offer views of the Mont-Blanc massif, the Grande Casse and the peaks of Belledonne.

On your trophy, the relief precisely renders the deceptive flat sections, the exposed bends and the final ramp to the summit. The raised route lets you take in the whole effort at a glance.

The trophy of your climb

Finishing the Col de la Loze means joining a select club. The gradients pile up, breath runs short and the summit has to be earned. This trophy doesn’t represent a pass in general: it represents your climb, your route, your day. On a desk, on a living-room wall or given to a cyclist, trail runner or hiker who has lived this climb, it’s a tangible reminder of what the body achieved. The engraved oak base anchors the achievement in numbers: the numbers of your pass, the ones you never forget.
