From the course to the trophy

Every object is born from a three-stage process, from digital to tangible.

• The GPX track of your ascent is converted into precise topographical data.
• The relief of the pass is 3D printed, layer by layer, with the route of the ascent raised on the map.
• The oak base is laser-engraved with the distance, elevation gain, average gradient, and the name of the pass.

The Col de la Madeleine rises to 2,000 metres in the Lauzière Massif, on the border of Savoie. Rated 'hors catégorie' (beyond classification), it can be tackled from several valley floor villages, each offering a distinct profile. The map faithfully reproduces this alpine terrain, with its flat sections, more demanding passages and the final ridge line. Distance, positive elevation gain and average gradient are engraved on the base, an exact record of the effort expended.
