Description

The highest mountain pass in Europe transformed into a trophy

The Route de la Bonette culminates at an altitude of 2,802 metres, at the summit of the Cime de la Bonette, in the Alpes-Maritimes. From the bottom of the Ubaye valley starting from Jausiers, or from the Tinée valley starting from Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée, each side tells the story of a long, demanding and solitary ascent, through some of the wildest high mountain landscapes in the Southern Alps. Crossing the Bonette means reaching a summit that few cyclists and hikers can add to their achievements.

This relief topographical map allows you to keep this achievement in a concrete, understated and durable form.

From the course to the trophy

  • Your GPX track of the Col de la Bonette has been converted into precise topographical data.
  • The relief of the pass is 3D printed: every contour line, every bend, every shoulder appears faithfully on the map, with the ascent route raised in relief.
  • The oak base is laser engraved with the name of the pass, the distance, the elevation gain and the average gradient of your ascent. The result is a personal trophy, not a generic souvenir.

Col de la Bonette 3D relief

In the Mercantour massif, on the border between the Alpes-Maritimes and the Hautes-Alpes, the Col de la Bonette is one of the most legendary climbs on the cycling calendar and among the great hiking routes. The road, open for only a few months a year, features steady gradients averaging around 6 to 7 % over distances exceeding 20 kilometres depending on the side of the mountain, with an elevation gain of over 1,500 metres. In racing terms, the Bonette has featured on the route of the Tour de France and the Tour de l’Avenir. For hikers and trail runners, it is one of the iconic sections of the Haute Route des Alpes. The relief model faithfully recreates this characteristic topography: a pass opening out onto wide high-altitude plateaus, surrounded by treeless ridges and slopes, with the summit rising even higher above the road pass.

The trophy for your climb

Completing the Bonette deserves more than a phone photo and a fading memory. This relief map is the permanent trace of a real effort, engraved in oak and shaped in relief. It finds its place on a desk, in a living room, a club changing room, or is directly given as a gift to a cyclist, hiker, or trail runner who has conquered the Bonette. The gift box included takes care of the presentation from the moment the parcel is received.

Several slopes to choose from

La Bonette is climbed via two ascents with very different profiles. Choose the one that matches your ascent or the climb you wish to undertake.
