Le Col du Lautaret, at 2,058 metres altitude, is one of the most travelled road passes in the French Alps. From Briançon, the climb begins in the Guisane valley, on a road open almost all year round, between the Combeynot and Écrins massifs. The 3D raised collar

The climb up the Col du Lautaret from Briançon covers a distance of around 27 kilometres, with an elevation gain of approximately 1,100 metres and an average gradient of around 4 %. Ranked amongst the great Alpine passes, it offers a gradual ascent from the town of Briançon – the highest town in Europe – up to the summit plateau, which opens out onto the Meije glaciers and the peaks of the Écrins. The 3D map shows every contour line, every flat section and every bend on this unique route.
